I am a photographer living in Washington DC and New York. I'm interested in how the everyday can be disturbing or grotesque and how the grotesque can be beautiful. I use all sorts of cameras, both digital and manual. My preferred is the 4x5 view camera. The lengthy set-up of each shot allows me to look with intensity. A spoon, a ceiling, a boy in bed-- with the view camera I have time to see how strange and beautiful they can be.
